You know Canaan and McConnell and MCW and Wilbiken,
You know Marshall and Pressey and Pappy and Wroten,
But do you recall
The greatest Sixer Point Guard of all?

Ish Smith the pass-first point guard
Had a very quick first step
And if you ever saw him
You would even say he goes.

All of the other point guards
Used to laugh and call him names
They never let poor Ish Smith
Join in any basketball games.

Then one soggy Christmas Eve,
Hinkie* came to say,
Ish Smith with your dribble so tight,
Won’t you guide my team tonight?

Then how all the Sixers loved him,
As they shouted out with glee,
Ish Smith the pass-first point guard
You’ll go down in history!
